According to this post by cclo on our forums, there are some new and updated rumors surrounding the EeePC including:
- Price range: $229 – $369
- EeePC 701 is the first generation, available September
- Second generation EeePC will have choice of 8″ or 8.9″ screen; available somewhere in between Q4 2007 and Q2 2008; fanless processor
- 2 cell, 4 cell, or 6 cell battery depending on model!

I don’t really think a 2 cell battery will last all that long… even without a fan/drive/graphicscard. Will certainly be going with the 6 Cell, long battery life on that kind of thing would be brilliant.
I don’t want a bigger screen! I want something that easily fits in my toolbag, without adding another 2-10 pounds to it, that will run Windows or Linux, with at least 1 USB port so I can work on Cisco routers. Please don’t screw it up, the first design looked perfect!
