JBrown, a user on our forums, has put together an Eee PC Interface Demo. Upon visiting the web page, you’re presented with a screen shot of the ASUS Eee PC Easy Mode desktop, and clicking will take you to a new screen shot of the destination. It’s a nice way of getting to see the interface interactively while you wait for your Eee PC to arrive!

Bah, the clock isn’t right
But seriously, that’s a great idea, and well executed. Top stuff.
Awesome. Really great idea and very well implemented.
Great simulation, and a rather intuitive system.
Does anyone know if this system has a Search routine?
Windows Vista cannot, apparently, search for text in files like the old variants could. I get more disenchanted every day with Vista on many fronts. Hope the ASUS system addresses this.
This is really great stuff while you’re waiting for your own Eee.
Thanks for your effort JBrown.
Great job! Thank you!
Wow! The EeePC is fast!
[Thanks JBrown]
Has anyone uploaded an actual disk image of the OS, something that can be run on vmware player or another free virtual machine? This was an ecellent effort but a virtual pc would be more effective than a web based demo.
that’s so brilliant i will direct all my customers to it. the eeepc looks easier to use than i anticipated. it just gets better and better! cheers for that, sx
That was really well put together. My Galaxy Black Eee PC comes in on Monday, and that was exactly what I wanted to see to familiarize myself with the OS before it comes in. I really wanted to see what all I can do with the default Xandros and that was an excellent walk through. If it just had an RDP client shortcut, it would be perfect!
I get a “page cannot be found” error. Has it been taken down?
The address just changed. Here’s the new address:
