If you haven’t been paying attention to the Eee PC modding scene, you’ve been missing out on a lot of great additions to the Eee PC.
One of the best mods adds a touchscreen to your Eee PC. You can see it in a video at this link, thanks to jkkmobile. Pretty cool, huh? You can see their installation process at this video, as well.
For more information, you can also check out the five page thread on our forums right here.

yeah! the touchscreen is WAY cool. and a pretty cheap mod too
This may be a silly question, but if you don’t know, you have to ask: Does the Asus eee pc have dual voltage?
Yes very cool MOD. I’m nowhere near brave enough myself to try any internal ones
You can have it done (when you are in Taiwan):

Of course, ASUS *should* make this a feature of a future release AND include the OLPC XO tech that they can license as well (dual mode screen, low battery use, and maybe an AMD processor).
AMD will not be in future model, it will be Intel Menlow…
Nice mod, easy and cheap:)

..and they will: http://jkkmobile.blogspot.com/2008/01/asus-to-make-eee-pc-with-touch-screen.html
Hello, all.
I’m typing this on the EEE that finally came in last night (I ordered it in September). Looks great and feels great! I’ve got a 512MB (though I ordered only a 256). This is the first web site I’ve visited. Thanks for all the good info here I’ve been absorbing all these months!
Hi,
I just read that future EEE pc’s will have a touch screen, standard!
Future models will have a 8,9 or 10 inch screen, the 9 inch model would have a touch screen
All info at:

Greetz
Hmm, I just read that too, on jkkmobile’s site. With better resolution, touch screen, then all they need to do is to license the OLPC XO dual mode (energy saving, and view outside in direct sunlight) technology.
