300-400k Eee PC’s Already, 4-5 Million Coming

by ant on January 19, 2008

According to DigiTimes:

Industry players estimate that Asustek shipped a total of 300,000-400,000 Eee PCs in its first quarter of sales. They project Asustek will ship a total of 4-5 million units in 2008. [link]

It looks like the Eee PC is definitely on target for the expectations it already had so far. Certainly furthering availability around the world combined with increasing awareness about the device across the Internet will help reach these predictions.

Yeah I am starting to see them appear here and there. Any place I take mine I often get asked where I got it. I also refer them to a place that actually sells them locally. No need to buy them online.

This has got to be a joke. There are no 8G available anywhere, now almost all Jan 08 gone by, and they will never sell millions of 2G. The 16G is a pipe dream. I think the target is missed.

mhthomas, nobody cares what you think.
The dogs bark but the caravan moves on..

People were thinking the same way when 10″ monitor dream faded away. So they bought 7″ Eee and are still happy.
16GB dream can be replaced by simple 16GB SDHC card and you have everything what you dreamt about..
