ITidiots Feature Eee PC in Episode 60

January 22nd, 2008 by ant

For those interested in seeing the Eee PC up close and in great detail, the folks over at ITidiots.com feature an Eee PC 4G in episode 60 of their video podcast. The guys do a great job of going over the entire unit (both hardware and software) and show video of a full boot and what it looks like when switching over to full desktop mode.

If you’re still on the fence about becoming an Eee PC user, this may be what you need to see before finally making the jump. The video is in high quality, and the ITidiots are engaging and interesting.

Best of all, they name-drop a certain Eee PC website that you might have heard of before…

Nice review, a bit lightweight and some factual inaccuracies (eg, they say it has a modem). Good eeeuser plug! A pity they couldn’t wire the eee directly to the video recorder (like they did with the MacBook), then we wouldn’t have had to put up with the crosshatching on screen. Actually they could have done it, via the MacBook and VNC.

Anyway, I’m glad they demonstrated Advanced Mode - I think it’s important to show potential users this can be done. Shame they didn’t have something like Quake on it. And also, it’s a shame they seemed to be hell bent on installing XP.
