fresno and technology should be hand in hand. I see us being the center of the state that would be perfect to be more in the front end of classroom upgrades as well.

We can always hope pray and vote correctly to get things moving in the right direction.

As a high school history teacher I'm excited to see what learning.com and Asus come up with. The Eee has the ability to be an excellent classroom tool. A mobile lab of Eees would be nice with the right software.

i used to go to school in fresno. they always hop on the technology bandwagon but never implement anything. around 2000, they ordered TONS of ibooks that stayed in carts that were distributed to classrooms a total of 6 times in the 2 years i attended. they have money... and on that note, it's good to see them supporting the eee. just don't expect to hear much going on with the eee's in fresno.

Ummm... Wrong? LOL. It's based on Xandros... Which is a form of Debian... Ubuntu is also a form of Debian...

Any idea why the Fresno District found them attractive? There are so many inexpensive laptops available that the eeepc is not the clear choice on price alone. The real reason to get an eeepc is it's portability. It's not clear that the tradeoffs (weight versus storage and screen size) are worth it in this setting.
