I wouldn't hold much stock in those prices. If anything, right now they are only there to drum up more interest and if people DO get interested, the prices will be going up by $100-$200. It happens every time one of these companies announce a price early, they renege later.

Of the bunch, the Emonitor is the most interesting to me. If they can keep the price down to about $500 I can easily see myself buying these things for many of the university labs that I manage, or even giving them to my kids instead of a TV for their room (that way I can use Linux to control what they can and cannot watch, mua ha ha).

Re: Shelton:
"The Shelton core is a Banias core without any L2 cache, and without SpeedStep. It is used in Intel's small form factor D845GVSH motherboard, intended for Asian and South American markets. The processor identifies itself as a "Intel Celeron 1.0B GHz", to differentiate it from the previous Coppermine-128 and "Tualeron" 1.0 GHz processors." (from WP)
And on the Banias:
"As the M line was originally designed in Israel, the first Pentium M was identified by the codename Banias, named after an ancient site in the Golan Heights. Given the product code 80535, it initially had no model number suffix, but was later identified as the Pentium M 705. It was manufactured on a 130 nm process, was released at frequencies from 1.3 GHz to 1.7 GHz using a 400 MT/s FSB, and had 1 MiB of Level 2 cache. The core average TDP (Thermal Design Power) is 24.5 watts." (also from WP)

For some reason there's something that's gonna come along and tie in that TV with everything else. Are they gonna get streaming content later?

Drop the TV. You're overdoing it Asus.

Great prices for the E-DT and E-Monitor, but I think they'd do better if they were badged as Eees.
