According to this article [english translation], the ASUS Eee PC 4G will be launched and sold in South Korea on February 22, 2008. It will be available in Black or White first, and the other green, pink, and blue versions will be available in time.
It’s difficult to tell from the article translation, but it looks like they will either run Windows XP, or may be available in both Linux and Windows variants.
They will sell for 400,000 South Korean won, which translates to about $423 USD.
[Edit 2/2/08 5:15am ] Looks like I got the price wrong because of translation issues. It will be selling for 499,000 won which is about $528 USD.
[thanks for the tip, Say!]

all the comments are negative… seems like the koreans don’t like it.
it seems like they are planning to distribute linux and window xp version seperately for the first time. on the comments, it seems as if they are complaining about the tiny storage capacity, mediocre resolution, and higher price then expected. overall, neagative comments : )
it’s lost in the translation but it says it’ll be 400,000 something wons, only meaning the first figure will be 4. it’s a marketing stratagy in korea, but when they say it that way, it’s likely to be 490,000 wons. it’s like something is under $500 and putting $499.99 for the price in the states side.
It’s 499,000 won.
In this article they sad the price of xp version EEE PC would be under 500,000 won, between 400,000~499,999.
Also they will be launch Linux version around 300,000 won. They did not open the inforamtion of the EEE PC price in S.Korea.
Having spoken to ASUS ”stall” owner at big tek mart in Seoul recently the price from Feb 22 will we the 400000won…4g only…
