CarryMobile Snake Print Case Contest Winner

February 2nd, 2008 by ant

The winner of the CarryMobile Snake Print Case from our recent contest is Newsguy, as his post number 105 was randomly selected. Congratulations to him- his Eee PC will now have some solid protection! He says he’ll drop us a note on how he likes the case, so we’ll certainly pass that on to all of you.

I hope you all enjoyed the contest, it’s the first time I’ve ran ever ran one. The most fun was reading all of your responses to the contest question- it seems like many of your Eee PC’s live in constant danger! Please feel free to send me feedback on future contest ideas. I’d like to be able to include the community in some sort of voting-for-best-post situation in future contests rather than random drawings.

Keep those Eee PC’s safe, and look for more contests from us in the future!

Congrats for the website! I got my eee on Monday and this website has been of much help before and after acquiring it. You’re a great community! And probably very nice people to want to give so much help.

What about some kind of ‘Summer Of Code’-esque contest? People do things to enhance the Eee in various ways (Eee-optimized addons for the default Xandros, Eee utilities for Windows ala EEEPC_RES, particularly cool hardware mods with clear instructions and howtos, etc.), users vote on their favourite, and the author gets a prize.

As for prizes, see if Asus will donate one of the mini-pcie SSDs from an 8G to give to the lucky winner (if he or she already has an 8G, I’m sure they’d have no trouble selling the SSD module to someone who doesn’t).
