Continental Travel Charger- Also For Car and Air
February 9th, 2008 by antThere’s a new travel charger for the Eee PC from Incipio. It allows you to use your Eee PC all around the world including North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and more.
However, it’s not just a travel charger- it also includes adapters for both car and airplane. As a result, you can pretty much power your Eee PC wherever you are.
You can find out more about it here.

Without a user’s review here on eeeuser.com there are many risks - the specifications at the link are not much detail. If someone posted details, may we have the link please?
I like the idea, but don’t trust without verification.

Nice kit, but they do not deliver to the Netherlands
Btw I guess something like this should be possible for a lower price.

I ordered mine. Now when we’re in the car or rv, i can plug in and tether my moto q to the eeepc and go online. This only gets funner and funner.

Can someone who ordered this follow-up on the site regarding the airplane power? I travel a ton, and want an adapter (if at all possible) that can plug into the headphone jack for power. I’ve seen it for iPods, was hoping beyond hope they had it for the eeePC.

I ordered one - am I a sucker or what? It was inexpensive.
I will be flying some in the next few weeks. If I get the adapter in time, and the airplane has the ability, I will test and report if it works on the forum.
Enjoy.

Thanks! I look forward to hearing about it (long-time lurker, second time poster)!

I’d buy this in a second, except that I’m worried about the bulkiness. I just bought a case for my EEE that has a pouch exactly the right width for the standard EEE power adapter.
Those of you who have ordered this: when you receive it, can you comment on the size compared to the standard EEE power adapter?
For instance, do you place the other adapter pieces over the prongs on the power brick, or do you remove the piece with the prongs and put the other pieces in the slot?
Thanks.

Ordered it today and I already have a tracking #!
That’s good service -
Also, I called and the adapters are removable, so its pretty flat.

They just upped the price by nearly 90%. makes me feel like supporting bloody pirates.
The price of the gadeget was 24.99 USD (plus Tax). I had it in the shopping cart but lost it due to my virus sw. It is now offered for 45.99 USD (plus Tax). Demand and Supply is the only explanation I have.
If any of you could send through a review, I might still consider to get the things (if nothing better comes along before). CHEERS!

Ozy-V_eee:
Ouch! That’s got to hurt.
On the other hand, it’s not quite as bad as that. It’s down to $39.99 now, and they claim free shipping on orders over $30.00, so if you assume you would have paid about $5.00 for shipping at $24.99, it’s really only $10.00 more total than it used to be.
Still makes me mad that I didn’t order it earlier, but it still sounds like a good buy. I’m waiting to see some reviews, though.

Why not just use the standard charger together with a slim multi-country adapter like the Road Warrior?

However, this kit comes with adapters for car and airplane. Which is reason I bought it.

jkkmobile also found some travel chargers and car adapters from Brando, but it doesn’t come with an airplane adapter:

I just got mine, both the car and AC adapter seem to work fine…

The kit comes in a very nice box, it has a car charger, wall charger and airline adapter. Its small and all of them work great (haven’t tried the airline adapter yet).
The build quality seems really good as well. All of them are solid feeling and don’t feel like some of the cheap ones that you get out there (wont name names but you know who).
All in all, I’m really happy with my chargers - Here is the link:
