The Chinese are crazy??? What's with the anti Chinese sentiments lately?
We are not your whipping child.

Eee PC is a Chinese product, made by your "crazy" Chinese people. May I suggest that you avoid making that "crazy" decision of buying one, and get yourself a HP mininote.

On second thoughts, isn't the mininote made in "crazy" China too? "Crazy" Gwailo.

@Jose
Hi,
I lived in HK and Macau for several years.
You can go to Fortress outlets around HK (www.fortress.com.hk), it's one of the biggest retailers for consumer electronics and household appliances.
You can use your credit card with ease as it's widely accepted.
I ordered my EeePc directly from HK via Expansys and it works perfectly.
Hope this can help.

Hi Trey or anyone that can help,

In a couple of weeks I'll be in HK for a weekend and I've never been there before. Can you tell me where to buy the new asus 900, if I have to bargain and if I'll have problems paying with a credit card?

Thanks

And here is a screenshot of the 'Advanced Mode' on a 701 screen:

Sadly, all the videos I've looked at are showing demos of Windows XP rather than Linux.

I just picked up an EEE 900 in Mong Kok, HK last night. They all seem to have the 5800 battery now (with a sticker on the side proclaiming as much). They're selling for 4200hkd if you want one now, 4000hkd if you can put down a deposit and wait till Thursday. They seem to have a new stock of the 701 too, as some were claiming to have an 8G model with all internal memory. The normal 4G is selling for 2800hkd. Contrary to what I read with some other comments, my 900 has both 4g and 16g SSD drives inside with a dummy SD card in the slot.
