If you guys bothered to do your research you would have found out that what Jkpd is correct as intel will not be releasing dual core atoms in the near future. They consume too much power and intel forbid anybody to put their chips into netbooks, so for all you guys who recently bought an eee then don’t be getting too upset, we won’t be seeing dual core netbooks till next summer (unless some other company produces them..unlikely).

The best thing that you guys should wait for is the new ION chip that nvidia are producing, it will have an 9400m IGP so it should be as good as the n10 (though i think the n10 will be better still, dedicated gpu > integrated).

Any chance of a 901 type model with Dual Core? I like the SSD. The size of the 901 is perfect.

DONT WORRY GUYS!! news is that intel will only allow the dual core processors to be put into nettops, it says on many sites that they will sue and companies that put them into netbooks because they will not work due to them using too much energy amd being too hot.
I am not saying dual core netbooks will never happen, but what i can tell you is you will never see an intel atom dual core processor in a netbook. period.
intels statergy with netbook processors in to increase their speed but the next step will only be 1.8Ghz with better energy efficiency… not really worth the wait in my eyes
as for the touchpad… i will put a kit in mine if i really want it that bad, but i dont think it would be worth it as i would probably revert back to the touchpad too often.
NOW is the time to buy a netbook. DONT BOTHER WAITING

Windows XP will be replaced with Windows 7 on these devices and the touchscreen elements will then be more useful based on what support has been announced for the technology by Microsoft.

A smaller form EEETop would be an ideal replacement for my 4G say a 9/10inch EEETab(let) (c)
