A year ago today, ASUS began selling the ASUS Eee PC. Hard to believe it’s already been a full year!
The folks over at Laptop Magazine decided to celebrate, and even got the Eee PC’s a cake!
Be sure to wish your Eee PC a happy birthday!

Happy birthday from Eee PC Serbia to Eee PC!
Long life Eee PC ;]
from the 700 to the new super fancy s101, wow what a difference a year makes. this thing has come a long way. i want the s101 sooooooooooon.
Wow. Ordered mine on day one of the UK launch. ASUS eeepc 701. Still running XP strong after a few dissertations and good uni work. Indeed, it has come a long way this little thing.
With best wishes to Eee PC from Ukraine! We hope, that Asus will again and again make us happy with the new models of Eee PC!
Go Eee PC, still using my 701 – rocking it out!
I’m going to show this to all my ‘mac’ friends..
gee, I was only 6 months late to the party! still love my black 701 4g. and eeeuser.com is the best site,
cheers to all,
ransom
Lots have happend to the EeePC since the 701 introduced in 2007. Amazing that they’ve only been on the market for a year.
Logn life to EEEmpire!
Happy Birthday to the EeePC series!
And just in time for the celebration, EEEs are getting sold in Target brick & mortar! Of course, the “demo” models on the endcap displays are hollow plastic shells rather than working computers, but $299 for the 4G model is decent, plus they’ve got the full spread available on target.com.
The bags they have for sale for the EEE are nice, but only hold the EEE itself, no room for a travel charger, so I’ll stick to my Digilegend.
Yay!!!!!!!!
Also Happy Birthday eeepc!!
Cant believe its an year old. Got mine Nov 1 of last year. Been going strong! Still have the original OS but upgraded to 1GB of ram.
The industry is not laughing any more! ^_^
Happy Birthday from Switzerland =)
*Sigh* A year already?
My my has this year gone by fast. I remember when I first learned of the Asus Eee back in August. “A 200 Dollar Laptop!” they promised. Sadly, they did not seem to keep it.
NONETHELESS, I am proud to see how far this tiny little product has gone, and how in such a short period of time it has changed the laptop market as we once had knew it.
Though, sadly, I never got my little Asus Eee.
My Compaq seems to suit me well though.
I got my Asus Eee 901 this year in August and I am quite happy with it. I just wish i could install Ubuntu easily! Anyway even with Xp i am well off!
I even my blog with it! Quite happy and content!

I like the 900A the most, because its as cheap as the 700 used to be, but with the right screen and the right processor, more ram and more space
The Asus logo and (Black) matte finish looked much better though…

I have the same birthday as the Eeepc! Except I’m older.
The friend that told me about the Eeepc actually didn’t end up getting one, but I love mine.
My Eee PC 900 is a miracle. My desktop died after a nasty power surge took out the surge suppressor and the hard drive. Since I am under a vow of poverty, I had to go with the least expensive computer that would allow me access to my internet ministry. Yes, it is strange to have a 7″ monitor, but I can always attach the full sized monitor and a keyboard and have full functionality. I especially enjoy having Skype and WiFi access. These are features I lacked before, so the tradeoff is wonderful. I actually consider this better than my desktop in many areas.
