If I install Easy-peasy 1.1 now, what is likely to be the procedure for updating as Easy-peasy remixes for later versions of Ubuntu become available? Is it going to be a major reinstall via a CD each time, or an upgrade that can be done online?

:/ i tried this, but the eee-control app wouldn’t install unless it un-installed the easy peasy meta package i did, and wierd stuff is happening, so i’m going back to v1.0

Easy Peasy 1.1 isn’t based on 9.04. But, Ramvi himself said that this release was so they could ‘really get to work’ on Easy Peasy 2.0.

Easy Peasy 1.1 is a customised version of Ubuntu 8.10 for Netbooks. Netbook Remix is an Ubuntu-owned project based on 9.04 with the netbook remix interface, but not much improved hardware support. This is where EasyPeasy comes out on top.

So 1.1 is not based on 9.04? If I wait till tomorrow I might know, but what are the key differences betwean 1.1 and 9.04?

hurrah! this release has been overdue a long time. but i think you should definately give eeebuntu 3.0 a mention when it comes around.
