1) buy 2 1008HA&#039;s (one for use and one for shipping back and forth) and (when the latter is present) rotate &quot;assignments&quot;.
2) build or buy an external battery pack and never use charge off the internal battery (note: unit will be less portable)
3) dont bother with an asus 1008 HA

		<description>Somehow I doubt this &quot;non-replaceable&quot; battery will deter the hobbyists. I would assume that if Asus can replace it, then so can anyone who&#039;s willing to open up the case to their Eee.
