Plans for 11.6 inch netbook while awaiting the 1008HA

by martin on May 4, 2009

According to company president Jerry Shen, Asus is preparing to release the new 11.6-inch Eee PC netbook later this month but it will still consider the ten inch the mainstream specification for 2009, accounting for 50% of total shipments, while the 11.6 inch netbook models should account for 30%. Discussion on the forum speculates whether Asus again blur the line between netbook and laptop with the 11.6 inch netbook size.

No further news yet on the new Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell netbook. This new notebook, with the eco- friendly Li-Polymer battery still holds to the claim of up to 6 hours battery life and should be available in Blue, White, Pink, Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red.

Defiantly not a netbook! I personally thought 10 inches was pushing it! 11.6 inch is definitely ultramobile territory.
