Asus continue to tease us regarding the new T91. The Asus Eee PC T91, the new touch screen netbook with swivel ability and tablet mode, is a very much anticipated new release from Asus’ Eee line. Recently, they go on further by now making the drivers available for download on their official support site.
This ads fuel to the fire of anxiety, which certainly hasn’t died down since the announcement of a T91 version with Windows 7 which will support multi-touch. Now, we surely can not expect an imminent release just because we found some drivers, can we? But it seems we should be nearing an announcement soon, given these indications, but “sometime in June” is still the estimated delivery date until we hear further.

Looks like the support site is gearing up so they have all the required files to have support ready for a go live aka General Availability.
Normally this is something that happens when the release is imminent.
So I would keep my ears open as this is a very good indication.
Asus confirmed with me this morning that the T91 will be available for shipping in the US after June 15, 2009. There are a limited number of units and allocations are very tight (I am not allowed to divulge the actual numbers). Final specifications can be seen on our website if you are interested (it seems that there is much confusion about the T91). The specs for the US model are very different from Asian and European models, but then our price is lower because there is no GPS, 3G or TV tuner in the US version.
What? None of the cool features that I was looking forward to are coming anywhere near my country? That kinda blows.
I guess I’ll be waiting for multitouch *and* having it shipped from the UK… balls
Who will be the US retailer?
martin,
For all of the up to date information on all things W7 related, including Netbook issues, it’s best to view them directly at the Windows 7 support forum. The site will also give you all sorts of useful information, such as the “what’s new in the RC” feed….or you can also you use talkingaboutwindows.com as an additional resource
Thanks,

If I buy a T91 next week, then decide to upgrade to Windows 7 do i still get multitouch?
Or do I have to wait for a rev2.0 of the t91?
Its all a bit confusing …..
