The Eee PC T91 Right Around The Corner

by martin on July 9, 2009

AsusAmT91-ScreenTurn1Alright folks, it is time to get excited. Official word from Asus is that the Eee PC T91, the netbook with touch screen, swivel ability and tablet mode, will be available Real Soon Now. So soon, they are claiming July 15th. Yes, as early as Wednesday next week, several Eee fans will be able to try out the anxiously and long awaited T91.

Now for the bad news, still according to official word, and as was unofficially confirmed within the last few weeks, there is only limited quantity. We are not sure why there is only limited quantity, and speculation might include the possibility that they are testing the market with this model, before putting the T91A and T91Go into full production.

Either way, it is going to be an interesting day on Wednesday next week. We have never had such a strong confirmation of release details as we have right now. Let us wait and see.

Well, I hope the sales aren’t abysmal due to everyone waiting to buy the other two models instead, and they never release them. What a catch-22 that would be : (

It seems to me like they can’t possibly sell this first edition of the t91 cheap enough to get people to buy it AND one with multitouch/gps/tv tuner/cell wireless, if it ever gets released.

Well, they won’t get it sold to me, with no different layouts for the keyboard and T91Go around the corner. Bad planning Asus, bad planning!

Also, does anyone know if the screens on all models are the same, or if the T91A has a different one. Is windows 7 making the muli-touch possible or another kind of screen?
