Italian retailer fnac has begun taking pre-orders for some upcoming Eee PC models which are being re-released with Windows 7. These models are the Asus Eee PC 1105HA, 1008HA and the 1101HA. All are bundled with a specific version of Windows 7.
The 1005HA will feature the Starter Edition, 1.66Ghz Atom N280, 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 screen, 250GB of disk space, 1GB of system memory and is expected to sell for around US$442.
The 1008HA will also feature the Starter Edition, the same screen size, amount of system memory, storage space and processor as the 1005HA above and is expected to fetch a price of US$590.
The 1101HA will offer Windows 7 Home Premium edition, a 11.6 inch 1366 x 768 screen, the Intel Atom Z520 processor at 1.33Ghz and 2GB of system memory which is expected to carry a price of US$590 as well.
The above prices are more likely to be different, and probably cheaper, once they hit U.S. shores.
Asus have also increased the amount of storage in their online Eee Storage offering. Initially Asus were offering 10GB for Eee users, now they have increased that to 500GB, which is a huge jump of 50x the original offering. So now Eee users have even more space for backups and online storage.

Great news! That should mean I can get native drivers for my 1005HA with win7 when they are released. Will save me a lot of time faffing with drivers trying to get them to work.
Are any models coming out with Linux OS? If so, will that be reflected in the price? I can’t imagine paying money for a Windows OS, especially after Vista.
Nice work. I wanna buy it. Here its of 229$? is it good?

There are now updates listed on the support site for win7: http://support.asus.com
At the moment it just looks like it’s just LiveUpdate that has a Win7 speicifc version (at least for the 1005HA). Hopefully the other utilities and drivers will follow very soon!
