The Asus Eee Keyboard, which is an upcoming all-in-one computer offering from Asus, is designed to be a central multimedia point and used with an HDTV display.
It features a 1.6Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB to 32GB SSD storage, a built-in five inch 800 x 640 touch screen display, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and will run Windows. You will be able to use the built-in touch screen as a main display or, as intended, hook it up via VGA or wireless HDMI to an external monitor or display. It’s battery is predicted to get up to four hours of use between charges.
For those of you that find the above paragraph is old news, you might be happy to hear that the F.C.C. now has more information for us on this upcoming gem. It has now published a user manual and some photos so we have even more of an idea of what we’re in for here.
The Eee Keyboard was promised to us in the late October time frame, so perhaps Asus are simply gearing up for its release. What are you most looking forward to in the Eee Keyboard?

Do you know that the touchscreen has multi-touch capability?
i’ve just looked at the manuals from the fcc site, and i cant see any sign of it being mulittouch – all the instructions point to it being singletouch. still it looks bloody good! definitely gonna be getting one of these badboys…
Some points of interest…
Illuminated keyboard (Hell yes!)
Stylus for touch pad (is it capacitive or resistive?)
You can connect two monitors (One with UWB, one with HDMI or VGA).
Keyboard shortcuts for media function (with Fn and arrow keys)
Looks like the UWB transmitter needs to be attached for normal WiFi (WLAN)
This thing is looking more awesome the more I hear about it. Now all they need is a good price range and I’m in.
looks like its not going to be out til q1 2010 now – boo!
