To summarize some of the latest news, there has been a lot of development from Asus lately, and some great new Eee PCs are on the horizon.
We have the Eee PC 1005HR, which comes with a ten inch screen at 1366×768 resolution, a very decent battery life which should bring about 7 hours of internet connected time and about 5 hours of 1080p movie watching time.
The Eee PC 1201N is now available for pre-order from selected retailers. The 1201N is special in that it is the first Eee PC to be powered by the NVIDIA ION graphics chipset. It also comes with a 11.6 inch screen bringing a 1366 x 768 resolution as well. It will feature the Atom N330 1.6Ghz processor.
Also we have the Eee PC 1201T, which comes with a large 12.1 inch screen, which may start to be borderline laptop rather than extra portable netbook. It will also boast the AMD dual core 1.6Ghz Neo MV40 processor and ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics. It is a concern however, that battery life may be compromised in exchange for the processor and graphics card, which should 3D accelerated games play quite nicely though.
More updates as they happen.

“1201N will feature the Atom N330″
Are you sure you mean the 330? This is the deskop dual-core Atom chip, which Intel said will not be sold in netbooks (TDP of 8W is too high?)
this is true, I have been playing around with this model a few days back, and it should be released soon in hong kong some day before christmas, BTW this is the second netbook to be released with Atom 330, the other is branded asrock, and is so in japan.
Damn it, why can’t they do Intel CULV processor + Nvidia ION graphics!? CULV is so much better than Atom; it has similar power consumption yet it’s a lot faster. >_< Together with ION graphics it would make an awesome gaming machine for me.
Have you seen the ASUS UL30Vt-X1 on Amazon…http://www.amazon.com/UL30Vt-X1-13-3-Inch-Laptop-Windows-Premium/dp/B002XZLURC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1259945550&sr=8-1
Not a netbook but 3.74 lbs with a dedicated switchable graphics and 12 hour battery life.
What I want it something like the Gateway EC18 or Acer 1810/1410, except with both the Intel CULV and Ion.
Under 3 lbs, 5~ hours battery life.
I really like the 1005HR because I absolutely love that high resolution, but why the glossy reflective screen. That is sooooooo bullsh1t!!
